Overview of the Role

Salesforce is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Retail Enterprise team in Italy. As a trusted partner, you won't just sell AI agents — you'll work alongside them to deliver meaningful outcomes for a small set of our most strategic, top-tier accounts. In this role, you will serve as the senior strategic lead, driving long-term partnerships at the C-level while orchestrating a cross-functional team to deliver one seamless Salesforce vision for your customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a key strategic account within the Retail sector headquartered in Italy, leading the full account strategy from annual quota planning through to long-term vision.
  • Engage C-level decision-makers to position Salesforce solutions through value-based selling, business case development, and return on investment analysis.
  • Coordinate a cross-functional virtual team — including sales engineers, sales specialists, professional services, partners, and executives — to deliver a cohesive and seamless customer experience.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding your customer\'s unique business challenges and evangelizing AI-powered Salesforce solutions that help them achieve their goals and innovate within their organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of selling complex enterprise software or technology solutions to C-level executives within large, strategic accounts, with consistent achievement of revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing comprehensive account strategies for complex accounts, balancing long-term vision with annual quota planning.
  • Proven ability to design and lead strategic workshops and develop compelling Points of View within a complex, multi-stakeholder account environment.
  • Business fluency in both Italian and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience thriving in high-paced, high-pressure environments with the ability to execute effectively under uncertainty.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends in the Retail sector, with the ability to build a compelling digital transformation narrative.
  • Experience partnering with global system integrators and services teams to ensure successful delivery of contracted solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt style across audiences, from operational teams to C-suite executives.
