Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality network and/or systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, best‑practice application, optimization, and produce appropriate technical documentation.
- Automate the deployment of network infrastructure across all network fabrics that support Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments, and multiple AWS services.
- Deploy, scale, and automate network across multiple global data centers, covering existing footprints and green‑field locations.
- Drive scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand.
- Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase velocity and quality.
- Work closely with internal customers on designs/solutions, bringing them from concept to production.
- Create and update network standards, ensuring deployments conform to those standards.
- Implement changes on the network and automate workflow and execution of deployments on a global scale.
- Collaborate with automation teams to transition and design new tools for unprecedented scaling.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Three years of relevant experience in networking or a related occupation.
- Three years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
- Three years of experience working in a Linux or Unix environment.
- One year of experience with automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.

Compensation and Benefits
40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Salary Range: $136,000/year to $184,000/year.
Amazon may provide equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package. Full range of medical, financial, and other benefits is available.
