Overview
UNICEF Office of Strategy and Evidence – Innocenti (OSE) works to provide evidence to guide UNICEF to deliver results for children. OSE’s work is supported by a diverse partner base and the Partnerships and Convening Unit leads fundraising, donor engagement, proposal development, donor reporting, donor intelligence, and partnership stewardship. Given OSE’s ambitious fundraising target for the current strategic plan period (2026‑29), the office requires increased capacity for a period of twelve months.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance and Chief of Partnerships this consultancy will strengthen OSE’s prospecting, proposal development, reporting, quality assurance and pipeline funding monitoring work through technical and operational support for the cultivation and management of partnerships across public and private income channels. The role will work closely with units and sections across OSE to strengthen donor engagement, enhance resource mobilization efforts, and promote effective, coordinated partnerships that support the division’s priorities outlined in the current Strategic Plan (2026‑29).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field.
- Work Experience:
- A minimum of 5‑8 years of professional experience in partnership management, high‑value fundraising, resource mobilization, donor reporting or other relevant areas.
- Experience with the UN, international development organization, Foundation, or private sector service provider in humanitarian assistance/programming is an asset.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to successfully and effectively liaise with people in a wide range of functions in a multi‑cultural environment.
- Must be able to work in a CET time zone.
- Language requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
