For a Michelin star restaurant, we are currently recruiting a Pastry Chef


Main Duties:

  • Development of specialty desserts for the Restaurant and Banquets.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all procedures.
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations requirements.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the work station; rectify any deficiencies; maintain throughout the shift.
  • Prepare and produce dessert menu items for the Restaurant and Banquets following recipes and yield guides, according to the standards.
  • Keep Executive Chef informed of all responsibilities of Pastry Kitchen to include production schedules, dessert development, menu changes, etc
  • Review status of work and follow-up actions required with the team before leaving.
  • Ability to manage production and expenses of the Pastry Kitchen in line with budget and forecast

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in a starred/fine dining/gourmet restaurant.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines
  • Strong teamwork skills in a kitchen environment
  • permanent contract, with accommodation and meals
