Position Overview:

The Supervisor, Payroll is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of payroll processes. This position involves advising a team in evaluating, analyzing, and administering payroll programs, while ensuring payroll is processed with speed, accuracy, and compliance with all service and performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor payroll processes to ensure consistent and accurate payroll in compliance with local practices, controls, government and statutory regulations, internal procedures, and SOX controls.
  • Serve as a point of contact for team members, resolving escalated operational or policy issues, and identifying complex resolutions needing escalation to the Payroll Manager.
  • Coordinate with internal Finance teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and financial integrity of payroll processes and support audit reviews.
  • Reconcile payroll and tax reporting at the end of each pay cycle and resolve discrepancies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage off-cycle payroll processing and reporting, acting as a contact for unplanned payroll processing.
  • Analyze complex pay transactions to identify issues and work with stakeholders to determine the root cause.
  • Maintain accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of payroll within local systems and global HRIS tools.
  • Stay updated with trends, legislation changes, tax rule updates, and local payroll control procedures to recommend improvements.
  • Assist in global work and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience in Payroll preferred
  • Knowledge of the Italian Payroll System
  • Laurea or Diploma in a related field
  • Ability to foster professionalism and build relationships for self and team.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and direct a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Native Italian speaker with fluency in English.

  • Contract: Full Time - 40h weekly - Monday to Friday
