For our global Headquarter in Milan we are looking for a temporary People Manager to join our global People Team for 7 months (with possibility to extend further). This is a key position that will provide People support across Australia, New Zealand as well as selected European countries, while also contributing to cross-country People projects at a global level. The People Manager will be reporting directly to the People VP.
The ideal candidate brings around 10 years of HR experience , thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, and combines operational excellence with a people-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner to local leadership teams in the local units , supporting all People-related areas such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Implement and monitor Group People initiatives and policies at local level, ensuring consistency with global People strategy.
- Support the design and roll-out of cross-country People projects , including global policies, Employer Branding initiatives, talent programs, and employee engagement surveys.
- Provide guidance on labor law and compliance topics in collaboration with external advisors where necessary.
- Support workforce planning and local hiring processes, ensuring alignment with Group recruiting guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact for employees and managers in Australia and other assigned countries on day-to-day HR issues, helping to build a positive and engaged workplace culture.
- Maintain strong coordination and knowledge sharing with the wider global People Team to ensure consistency and leverage best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Human Resources, with a solid track record in both operational HR and business partnering roles.
- Proven experience in international or multi-country environments ; prior exposure to UK and/or Australian markets is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English ; knowledge of Italian is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholders.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives independently.
- Sound understanding of HR processes, labor law fundamentals , and employee lifecycle. Knowledge of labor law in Australia and/or UK is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
