Overview
PEX department develops and supports operational excellence within factories, focusing on standards, visual management, lean tools, and cost control reporting. The department supports data factory reporting and develops internal digital systems to improve costs and efficiency targets, cooperating with central functions to implement strategies and vision across VESTAS.
Responsibilities Plan and manage activities necessary to meet desired levels of standard work implementation based on both setup lines and existing ones. Monitor and analyze production processes, data on specific KPI and cost targets. Provide technical support and training to production teams when required for production standard works and line setup. Offer Process Excellence support to meet factory objectives in terms of Safety, Quality, and Delivery Costs. Provide visual management tools and standard work creation in the shopfloor. Cooperate on assignments and projects requiring collaboration with other functions (Logistics, Quality, Production). Encourage operational teams to build a leadership culture and continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications Master or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Ability to use Lean and problem‑solving tools (DM, Takt, PDCA, 5‑WHY, VSM). Experienced in Lean methodologies and 5S implementation. Background in manufacturing operations industries. Lean certification (Yellow Belt). Advanced proficiency in English. Good interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments. Detail‑oriented mindset, effective organizational skills, and adherence to standards and deadlines. Experience in customer service and conflict resolution. Ability to use IT systems and platforms (MS Office/SAP). Ability to use AutoCAD.
