About the Role:
Beontag is looking for a proactive and hands-on Planning Specialist to join our team in Bologna , working within our DTE division , which develops award-winning RFID tags and other advanced IoT solutions .
As Planning Specialist, you will play a central part in driving production forward, with a direct impact on how and when our products come to life. You’ll take ownership of planning essential manufacturing processes, stages where technology and precision come together. From ensuring raw materials are in place to coordinating schedules that minimise downtime, your work will help keep operations smooth, efficient, and responsive.
A typical day may involve reviewing production capacity and material availability, fine-tuning plans based on customer demand, and working closely with Production , Logistics , and Quality teams to align activities and priorities. Your input will be essential to achieving on-time delivery , improving machine setup efficiency , and supporting a more agile and connected supply chain .
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Develop and maintain production plans based on customer orders and demand forecasts, in line with available capacity.
- Analyse forecast data, inventory levels of finished products and raw materials, and production lead times to optimise planning strategies and provide both short- and long-term visibility of requirements.
- Collaborate with teams across Production, Quality/R&D, Logistics, Purchasing, and Customer Service/Sales to ensure alignment and deliver customer-focused results.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage disruptions such as delays, material shortages, or fluctuations in demand.
- Use ERP/MRP systems effectively to plan, track, and manage raw material supply and related activities.
- Prepare and share regular reports, providing clear insights and recommendations to management.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- A degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Logistics , or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar planning or supply chain role
- Proficiency with planning tools such as ERP/MRP systems, BI platforms, Oracle, advanced Excel , and the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Fluent in Italian
- A good working knowledge of English
Reporting Line: This role will report directly to the Planning and Logistics Manager.
Location: This role will be based at our plant in Bologna, Castel Maggiore.
