Hiring: DevOps Engineer (Service Support) – Verona, Italy (Freelance)

We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to support development teams during application releases and contribute to improving software lifecycle efficiency. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines while integrating automated security controls and supporting key infrastructure components.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will play a key role in enabling smooth application releases across environments, automating processes, and collaborating closely with development and operations teams to enhance delivery performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to development teams during application release phases across multiple environments
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including automated build, test, and deployment processes
• Integrate security controls such as vulnerability scanning and quality gates into the development lifecycle
• Automate build, deployment, and environment configuration processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve release issues and pipeline errors
• Manage and configure containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance to ensure efficiency and scalability
• Support application and infrastructure components, including RabbitMQ and Kong (API Gateway)
• Collaborate closely with Development and Operations teams to improve processes
• Contribute to the definition and adoption of DevOps best practices and standardization

Required Skills

• Practical experience with DevOps methodologies and tools
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitLab
• Strong focus on automation, performance, and efficiency
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Dev and Ops environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with integration tools and API management platforms
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ and Kong is an advantage
