Senior Civil & Structural Design Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development of plant facilities and modularized solutions for energy applications. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging and innovative projects, supporting the energy transition through efficient, safe, and industrialized design approaches.
Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and verify structural systems to ensure integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.
Develop engineering solutions for steel modules, platforms, structural steel frameworks, concrete foundations, and general civil works.
Create and maintain accurate design documentation, including engineering specifications, bills of materials, and design change requests.
Conduct design reviews and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of construction plant equipment.
Interface directly with customers to understand technical requirements, present design solutions, and support project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
Participate in product development programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing engineers and clients during the erection/plant installation phase, addressing design‑related inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
Collaborate with Quality teams to develop and implement appropriate testing and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Define/propose procedures and tool customization for improving design standardization with the aim to reduce cost and lead time, implementing internal standards and knowledge.
Qualifications
Have a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
Have proven experience as Civil Design Engineer in complex Oil & Gas / Industrial / Energy solutions plant, preferably in EPC companies.
Have consolidated expertise in the application of engineering tools for civil & structures design (ex. SAP2000, Staad, Midas, Ansys, IdeaStatica, etc.).
Have knowledge on both 3D Plant Modelling tools (ex. TEKLA, AVEVA E3D) and 2D design tool (i.e. AutoCad).
Have knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including API, ASME, AISC, DNV, NTC and ASCE.
Show passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Hold an EU work permit.
Fluent Italian and English language is mandatory.
Show strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Have strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
Be able to work collaboratively with other teams and departments within the organization.
Show organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 51,200 to 70,400.
