Postdoc on Photoelectrochemical Systems for Solar Fuels
Project: Applied Energy Materials and Technologies.
Commitment & contract: Postdoc – 12 Months.
Location: IIT – Center for Sustainable Future Technologies, Via Livorno 60, 10144, Torino (TO).
Responsibilities
- Design, synthesis and characterization of new types of photoelectrodes for solar fuel generation, focusing on OER, HER and CO2RR.
- Carry out photo‑electrochemical measurements and establish structure–performance correlations for photoelectrode optimization and understand the dynamics of charge carriers.
Essential Requirements
- A PhD in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering or similar disciplines.
- Previous experience in synthesis and characterization of photoelectrodes for PEC systems.
- Documented experience in synthesis and generic characterization of nanomaterials (SEM, XRD, …).
- Knowledge of intensity‑modulated spectroscopy techniques (EIS, IMPS, IMVS).
- A strong publication record.
- Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data.
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists.
- Good command of spoken and written English.

Compensation Package
- A yearly gross salary of €34 k.
