Descrizione dell'offerta
Join a leading innovator shaping the future of industrial energy systems.
We are currently seeking an experienced Lead / Principal Systems Architect to spearhead the development of advanced Battery Management System (BMS) solutions for next-generation energy storage applications. This opportunity sits within a globally recognised technology-driven organisation expanding its presence across high-growth industrial sectors including utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), smart energy infrastructure, and microgrid solutions.
This is a strategic, high-impact role where you will influence the future direction of scalable energy architectures spanning hardware, embedded systems, connectivity, diagnostics, and functional safety. Working closely with customers, product teams, and international engineering groups, you will help define innovative platforms that support the evolving global energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture and system definition of large-scale BMS platforms for industrial and energy storage applications.
• Develop scalable reference designs covering battery modules, racks, and container-level deployments.
• Partner with customers, integrators, and technical stakeholders to define system requirements and long-term technology strategies.
• Drive architectural decisions balancing performance, safety, reliability, diagnostics, and cost optimisation.
• Influence future semiconductor and product roadmaps by identifying emerging market and application requirements.
• Support validation teams with complex system integration, testing strategies, and proof-of-concept development.
• Mentor and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams across international locations.
Required Background
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s or PhD advantageous).
• Extensive industry experience within Battery Management Systems, power electronics, or industrial energy storage environments.
• Strong understanding of battery system architectures, cell management, and lifecycle optimisation.
• Experience with embedded systems, mixed-signal environments, and industrial communication protocols.
• Knowledge of advanced BMS algorithms including SOC/SOH estimation, balancing, protection, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with functional safety concepts, fault-tolerant architectures, and high-availability systems.
• Exposure to utility-scale energy storage, critical power infrastructure, or industrial electrification.
• Experience within industrial automation, robotics, edge computing, or energy management platforms is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and work effectively across global engineering organisations.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking environment where innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology converge.
If you have a strong background in Battery Management Systems, industrial energy storage, or power electronics architecture and are looking to play a key role in shaping next-generation energy technologies, we would love to hear from you.
