Private Equity – Associate Director (Mid-Market Focus)

A leading European private equity firm is seeking a talented and driven Associate Director to join its investment team in Milan. This is a unique opportunity to take a senior role in deal execution and portfolio value creation, while contributing to the firm’s next phase of growth and institutional fundraising. The role offers direct exposure to board-level work and operational transformation across mid-market companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of transaction execution, including due diligence, modeling, documentation, and closing.
• Drive value creation initiatives across portfolio companies, including post-merger integration and governance.
• Support exit planning and execution for existing investments.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and portfolio management teams.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience in private equity or M&A, with a strong record of full-cycle deal execution.
• Solid understanding of financial modeling, LBO structuring, and legal documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams independently and interface with management teams.
• Fluent in Italian and English; based in or willing to relocate to Milan.
