Are you passionate about continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and driving operational excellence? Join our dynamic Operations Team as a Process Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of our manufacturing processes.
Role Purpose:
- Improve manufacturing assembly, material replenishment and support processes through standardization and implementation of tools to reduce production lead time and ensure product quality
- Promote Kaizen activities and continuous improvement also through employees’ suggestions
- Monitor process performance (Quality/Cost/Delivery) throughout production using Visual Management in order to identify improvements in terms of quality, efficiency, bottle necks and cost reduction
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality to ensure new product introduction to manufacturing according to NPI process gates and quality procedure
- Define, Plan and Monitor maintenance activities on manufacturing Equipment to guarantee reliability and quality
- Collaborate with Quality to maintain in validated state and ensure calibration of all manufacturing equipment and tools
- Support 5S activities throughout assembly areas
- Update DHR forms and Assembly OPS according to Product Configuration changes and improvement output from kaizen activities
- Collaborate with R&D, Sustaining and Quality to analyze product issues and propose solutions to improve product reliability and reduce manufacturing scraps
Job Requirements:
- Engineering Degree
- +5 years’ experience in similar position
- Analytical thinker and attention to detail
- Lean Manufacturing Principles knowledge (e.g. TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, …)
- Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees
- Ability to manage industrial projects related to manufacturing lines and coordinate activities between different departments
- Basic Medical Quality System knowledge (e.g. GMP)
- Experience in Biomedical company and FDA regulation is a plus
- A Green Belt certification and/or a basic knowledge of statistical tools applied to process data analysis and validation will be considered a plus

MMI is dedicated to improving reconstructive options for surgeons and patients and has developed the first teleoperated robotic platform for open microsurgery. It offers the surgeon motion scaling and tremor elimination and aims to facilitate existing procedures as well as enable new ones in the domain of microsurgery, from post-oncological and trauma reconstructions to ophthalmology, organ transplantation and pediatric surgery.
