Process Specialist (Utilities) - Italy, Milan - 6-12 Months Contract
Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Europe. With a strong presence in over 50 countries and more than 5000 employees, the company focuses on treatments for diseases.
The corporation are making a significant investment expanding their operations and completing an expansion project in Northern Italy. They are therefore seeking a Process Specialist (Utilities),to deliver this large-scale programme, over the coming years to enable their growth, globally.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and specification of utility systems including WFI, clean steam, compressed air, nitrogen, HVAC, and chilled water.
• Collaborate with process engineers, architects, and MEP consultants to ensure seamless integration of utilities into facility design.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Define utility loads and consumption forecasts based on process requirements.
• Ensure all utility systems meet cGMP, FDA, and EU Annex 1 standards.
• Support Design Qualification (DQ) and participate in commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for validation protocols, URS, and Turn Over Packages (TOP).
• Identify and mitigate risks related to utility system design and operation.

Requirements:

• Mechanical Background (Preferably pharma /Bio)
• Utilities background
• Ablity to review design schedules
• Must have experience in clean utilities, black utilites and previous project experience.
