The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s sourcing and purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective procurement of services and goods. This role focuses on supplier management, contract negotiation, cost control, and ensuring quality and timely delivery while aligning procurement strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support organizational goals and cost optimization.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve the best value.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance through KPIs and service level agreements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, products, and services to meet operational requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast needs and plan purchasing activities.
- Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Manage procurement budgets and track cost savings initiatives.
- Implement and improve procurement processes, systems, and tools for efficiency.
- Handle supplier issues, disputes, and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in automotive OEM or consumer electronics, with demonstrated experience in marketing and/or after-sales procurement.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Fluent in Italian and English both spoken and written.
