Job Title: Product Development Lead (Contract)
Location: Remote (Italy-based, with travel to Northern Italy)
Pay: €10–€15/hr
Schedule: Part-time, 2.5 days/week (Tues–Thurs)
Duration: 5 Months (April–August)
ABOUT CABRAL
Cabral is a startup activewear brand for men and women, based in Lisbon. Inspired by Dieter Rams’ "Good Design" principles, our brand focuses on muted colors and functional austerity. Our garments are crafted by specialist suppliers and manufacturers in Northern Italy, and we are committed to reflecting the excellence of these regions in every piece we produce.
ABOUT THE ROLE
With our first collection launching in late 2026, we are looking for a Product Development Lead to bridge the gap between our design vision and our manufacturers in Bassano Del Grappa. This is a remote position, ideally suited for a candidate based in Milan or Northern Italy to facilitate manufacturer visits. You will combine technical expertise and organizational skills to ensure every style corresponds strictly with the brand’s vision.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Production Lead: Accelerate products through the final development cycle.
- Technical Translation: Translate tech packs into final products through phone or in-person consultations with manufacturers.
- Quality Assurance: Manage and report on shipments of prototypes, samples, and bulk production.
- Administration: Manage invoices and related project documentation.
WE ARE SEEKING
- Communication: Proficiency in Italian and English (C1/C2 level) is essential for manufacturer negotiations and internal reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Business, Law, or related fields. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Professional experience in fashion design, manufacturing, or contract negotiation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
- Passion: A strong interest in activewear, technical fabrics, and industry trends.
