Orienta SpA - Società Benefit is seeking a Product Development Specialist for a leading multinational in the rubber and plastics industry. Reporting directly to the Technical Office Manager of Research and Development, the candidate will act as a liaison between customer or commercial area requests and product industrialization and feasibility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage tests requested by technical and commercial departments.
  2. Send materials to external laboratories for testing and organize production trials.
  3. Design new products and coordinate with the Project Team.
  4. Collaborate with the production department to create samples, prototypes, and pre-series, utilizing available testing room equipment.
  5. Draft and propose confidentiality agreements (NDA) when necessary.
  6. Manage raw material validation, ensuring proper handling and storage in the testing room.
  7. Assist the purchasing department in defining specifications for raw material procurement and provide technical support.
  8. Prepare documentation for the quality system in collaboration with the quality engineer.
  9. Oversee customer requests via the M.A.D. system.
  10. Work with process technology developers and production engineers to analyze and propose process improvements, especially in the cross-linked expanded polyethylene production department.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
  • Knowledge of production and processing basics of materials.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • Proficiency with PC and relevant software.
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in technical offices as a production or laboratory technician.
