The Product Marketing Team Lead supports brand-aligned product cost reduction execution across all product categories. These projects must work within Tennant Companies strategy of managing value, reducing overall COGS, cost competitiveness, and our strong reputation for customer service. This role has a dotted line reporting structure to Project Velocity leadership, which will provide specific training and support for the execution of cost out projects. These can often be cross-functional in nature, and resources will be provided to assist in the projects as needed. (Engineering, Supply Chain, operations, etc.)



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates within region with all product marketing teams as well as other Tiger Team members on projects involving potential cost-out opportunities for Parts & Consumables and equipment operations.
  • Utilizes accurate forecasting that reflects the industry, business trends, and potential business in their area to help identify and execute projects that will reduce the COGS. Works with regional product marketing leadership teams to share best practices and cost reductions performed to facilitate implementing cost savings across the network
  • Partners with the appropriate support functions to address implementation of cost saving projects.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams with the primary objective of identifying, documenting and executing projects that will reduce COGS within the Tennant organization. (Ideation and execution)
  • Understanding and ability to execute product marketing related taks:
  • Support brand segmented product marketing activities across all product categories.
  • Maintain and update product content including datasheets, brochures, imagery, web copy, and selling tools.
  • Assist with competitive research and pricing monitoring; maintain competitive comparison tools.
  • Coordinate with Brand Marketers to support launch execution tasks, timelines, and communication.
  • Support sustaining activities including product updates and communication to commercial teams.
  • Provide organizational support for VOC collection, segmentation insights, and brand positioning.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in marketing, product marketing, or product management support roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally for problem identification, root cause and process improvement.
  • Proficient computer and application skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English to ensure effective communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others outside of own job area on policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively seek understanding of processes, systems, and business/customer requirements to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Support sustaining activities including product updates and communication to commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading improvement projects and being part of change management activities
  • Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated Continuous Improvement / Lean / Six Sigma experience
