Job Description

The AWS Asia-Pacific (APAC) Data Center Planning Team is searching for a passionate and talented Program Manager intern to support the implementation and improvement on planning processes that will be used across APAC infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for reducing defects and improving cycle time associated with current planning processes. You will work across the AWS Organization to align process inputs, partner with global teams to improve related business intelligence tooling, and work across APAC Data Center Planning and Delivery organization to support and implement processes.

In a program manager role, you work to find solutions to complex problems and innovate on leading edge solutions to manage programs broadly across businesses within Amazon. Program Managers are given responsibility on their first day to own those business challenges and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions. They drive efforts independently and as part of larger project teams and have a significant impact on customer experience and the business.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of using SQL, Python or R
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self‑motivated to work proactively on tasks
  • Data driven and comfortable to work on data analyst tasks
  • Great team player

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
  • Define and develop business critical metrics and reports across all business levers, key performance indicators, and financials
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights and present written business recommendations to the leadership in a clear and compelling way
  • Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
