PURPOSE/SCOPE :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Program Manager to lead and oversee new product development programs within our organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of NPD projects, adhering to Tennant’s product development process, and achieving objectives related to schedule, costs, quality, and ROI.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Spearhead the planning and execution of new product development programs, ensuring alignment with Tennant’s product development process and achieving goals related to schedule, costs, quality, and ROI.
• Build and lead cross-functional product development teams using resources from functional areas across the company
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Monitor progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate and manage all program documentation as required by the product development process including gate review materials and presentations.
• Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress and outcomes. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Address and resolve program-related conflicts promptly, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Facilitate clear and effective communication across teams and with external partners.
• Identify potential program risks/issues and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program timelines and objectives.
• Occasional travel, including day trips and some overnight stays, to support project activities, conduct site visits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration).
• Minimum of 5 years in program management, preferably within an NPD or technical environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to all levels of the organization
• Proven ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required to support project activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
• Familiarity with NPD processes and methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools.
