MYTILINEOS, a leading industrial company with a strong international presence in the Energy and Metallurgy sectors, is currently seeking to hire a Project Director based in Milan, Italy, for Solar & Battery Storage Projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and roll out (according to company procedures) with the Design Department for support during Tender preparation.
  2. Decide on the brand and type of major equipment for the tender, in accordance with commercial and technical specifications.
  3. Collaborate with the technical team to calculate Performance Warranties for the project (PR level, production warranty, availability level).
  4. Evaluate RFQ proposals.
  5. Review Head of Terms and conduct legal due diligence of tender contracts.
  6. Review commercial terms of the tender (payment terms, warranties, timeline, LDs).
  7. Decide on contractual Warranties for the tender (PR level, production warranty, availability level).
  8. Prepare and submit the budget for approval.
  9. Coordinate and oversee involvement of different internal departments in tender preparation.
  10. Submit the tender folder and follow up on the process.
  11. Determine the project timetable considering equipment delivery, workmanship, and contract timeline.
  12. Negotiate and formulate payment terms.
  13. Coordinate with the Design Department for support during EPC contract preparation.
  14. Approve technical, legal, financial, and O&M parts of the EPC contract.
  15. Prepare pre-contract reports.
  16. Sign the EPC contract.
  17. Issue RFQ for modules, including pricing, availability, delivery, and payment terms.
  18. Prepare RFQ for other equipment (cables, grounding, fence, CB, welfare, buildings, monitoring, security systems, security services).
  19. Draft commercial term sheets for remaining equipment, subcontractors, HV and MV subcontractors, investors, and structures.
  20. Manage start-up procedures before NTP (working visas, taxation, consultants).
  21. Finalize and sign Supply and Services contracts based on commercial term sheets.
  22. Issue necessary bonds and insurance policies.
  23. Determine recruitment needs for each project (internal and external resources).
  24. Report on cash flow.
  25. Monitor and track project timetable.
  26. Update project cash flow and communicate any variations.
  27. Review and evaluate requests for extra costs or change orders from customers or subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or other relevant fields. MSc is an advantage.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., MBA, PMP, PRINCE II) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in the construction of solar parks.
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
