Project Engineer – Automotive Body Development

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join a long-term vehicle development project focused on Body Engineering and Exterior Systems.

As Senior Project Engineer, you will coordinate the technical development of Body components, leading a dedicated Design Engineering team throughout feasibility, concept development and industrialization.

You will act as the technical interface between engineering, suppliers and cross-functional departments, ensuring that project objectives are achieved in terms of quality, cost and timing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated Design Engineering team.
• Coordinate feasibility studies and technical development activities.
• Manage supplier technical activities and engineering alignment.
• Organize and lead technical review meetings.
• Coordinate Front, Side and Rear Body development.
• Create and maintain Technical Specifications.
• Develop and maintain DFMEA documentation.
• Manage System and Component DVP activities.
• Coordinate Engineering Releases and Change Management.
• Maintain Engineering BOM in SAP.
• Monitor project timing and engineering deliverables.
• Support prototype builds and vehicle launch activities.
• Prepare weekly project status reports and technical documentation.
• Drive issue resolution throughout the development process.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive product development.
• Proven experience in:
• BIW (Body in White)
• Vehicle Structures
• Exterior Trim
• Platform Layout
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience working with automotive suppliers.
• Strong understanding of complete vehicle development processes.
• Fluent English (minimum B2).
