Descrizione dell'offerta

Project Manager – Industrial Construction (Owner Side) | Civitanova Marche, Italy

We are supporting a major asset owner in delivering a significant infrastructure upgrade at their Civitanova Marche manufacturing site, and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the full revamping of an underground solvent storage tank farm — directly on the owner's side.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role embedded within the company's plant team. You will not be working for a contractor. You will be the owner's representative on the ground — accountable for scope, schedule, quality, safety, and cost on behalf of the asset owner.

Your Role

You will lead all phases of the project — from construction through commissioning and start-up — coordinating EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders across engineering, production, maintenance, and safety functions.

You will be the single point of accountability for project delivery, working in close alignment with the SW Regional Engineering team and site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle: construction, commissioning, and start-up

• Develop and maintain the project schedule (Gantt) and cost tracking; define mitigation actions for any delayed tasks

• Lead daily site debriefs with contractors, driving alignment on quality, safety, and schedule

• Oversee multi-discipline scope: civil works, metal structures, pipework, electrical, and automation

• Define and execute the inspection plan to verify materials and installation quality against project specifications

• Manage construction activities in ATEX-classified areas, ensuring full compliance with Italian safety regulations

• Own the project risk register; develop and integrate mitigation plans

• Lead safety management throughout all construction phases, including work permit documentation in line with Sherwin-Williams standards

• Manage project documentation: As-Builts, O&M manuals, certifications, and technical files

• Support procurement and vendor coordination

• Coordinate SAT and final documentation collection at close-out

Ideal Background

Experience delivering industrial CAPEX projects in regulated, process-oriented environments, such as:

• Chemical, paint, or coatings manufacturing

• Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or refinery environments

• Food & beverage or pharmaceutical (tank farm / storage infrastructure)

• Heavy industry or EPC project delivery

Strong familiarity with working inside owner organisations — managing contractors rather than being one — is a strong benefit for this role.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical or related)

• 5-7 years of project or construction management experience in industrial environments

• Solid knowledge of D.Lgs. 81/08 and ATEX standards

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical schematics

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office

• Fluent in both Italian and English

• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
