As Project Manager, you are the person who connects with the Customer, organizes internal engineering, external suppliers, manufacturing, integration and test activities to deliver subsystems and units for space applications rapidly and affordably. You are accountable for delivering must-work space subsystems and units to Institutional and Commercial customers.
Responsibilities
Our Project Managers are responsible and accountable for on-time, on-budget and on-spec delivery of their projects. They maintain project schedules, project staffing plans and budgets (direct costs, subcontracts, travel, etc.). They track all internal and external deliverables. Project Managers work closely with members of their own program team, technical peer teams to ensure our products meet all requirements and achieve all milestones, while staying within strict budgetary constraints. Main responsibilities are:
- Program Management of Space business projects
- Interface with the Customer
- Coordination of internal resources and activities
- Coordination and management of external subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparation and coordination of meetings, reviews, workshops
- Definition and control of project related economics (e.g., cost estimate), supported by Company’s Finance, Project Control and PPMO (Programs Planning and Management support Office) Dept’s.
Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Aeronautics, Electronic Engineering or comparable qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Program Management of Space missions/projects (ESA, ASI, Defence or similar Institutional/Commercial Customers).
- Personal attitude in team building, coordination and conflicts resolution.
- Knowledge of space business standards and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of project economics (SAP, budget definition, estimate-to-complete, gross profit,…) for the economic and financial control of the assigned programs.
