We are Hiring: Project Manager/PMO
This role is central to a wider transformation project and will involve hands-on support in process design, workflow optimisation and operational structure set up in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
The ideal candidate will play a central role in coordinating and executing on key strategic initiatives, working closely with the internal team in Italy and Head Office, to build and structure the foundation of the project for a solid and scalable organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake project management activities across multiple business functions in alignment with the agreed strategy and operational sponsors’ priorities.
- Manage all project phases from planning to execution and delivery, ensuring alignment with expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Liaise and collaborate regularly with the UK & Europe PMO team to ensure that all delivery and reporting standards are met.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including activities, timelines, evaluation metrics, critical paths, and dependencies.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs, milestones, and progress reports. Ensure the project budget is monitored and effectively controlled.
- Manage all project related risks and issues, ensuring there is a clearly defined escalation route in place.
- Organise and lead cross-functional working groups and teams and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and coordination
- Collaborate with various business departments (HR, IT, Compliance, etc.) to ensure operations align with the company’s overall objectives.
- Co-ordinate and oversee any procurement activities with third party suppliers.
- Develop process documentation, operational manuals, and guidelines for future team use where required.
- Provide hands-on support to functions in the implementation of innovation, mapping, and process re-engineering projects to improve scalability and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate Profile/Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in this role, preferably in transformation or change initiatives within insurance, brokerage, or consulting (in these sectors).
- Familiarity with IVASS regulations and Compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodologies and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of business operations and project management.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving orientation, and ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Comfortable managing complexity, multiple priorities, and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, with a hands-on, results-oriented mentality.
- Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English.
Location: Milan / Frequent travel required
