Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility?

Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

You will work in close cross‑departmental collaboration from site design through start‑up, leading the development of all relevant radiation safety and EHS processes and procedures.

You will be responsible for the generation, submission, and ongoing management of radioactive materials licensing documentation, including all required regulatory correspondence.

You will develop shielding designs for new facilities, new applications, and new cyclotron installations.

You will conduct shielding verification and confirmatory surveys.

You will provide onsite support to ensure the correct implementation of radiation protection and EHS programs required for successful site operation.

You will review and submit all required decommissioning documentation.

You will provide onsite support as the licensee stakeholder to ensure successful execution of decommissioning activities.

You will manage projects to ensure that all required deadlines are met.

You will support sites during regulatory inspections to help secure and maintain regulatory approvals.

Your qualifications and experience:

You hold a Masters degree in Medical Physics, Radiological Health, Radiation Protection, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.

You bring solid familiarity with radioactive materials and EHS regulatory frameworks, ideally gained in regulated industrial or pharmaceutical environments.

You have several years of experience working in radiochemical or radiopharmaceutical operations, or in applied radiation protection involving unsealed radioactive materials.

You demonstrate a strong understanding of GMP‑regulated environments and associated regulatory expectations.

You possess demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and cross‑functional deliverables effectively.

You show a high level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.

We also welcome candidates with a bachelor’s degree or a completed vocational education and training, combined with additional relevant professional experience in this field.

Your attributes and skills:

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to clearly translate technical and regulatory concepts for diverse stakeholders.

You demonstrate a collaborative and proactive mindset and are able to work effectively in cross‑functional and remote team environments while maintaining a high level of personal accountability.

You are comfortable operating in a hybrid work environment.

You are fluent in English; additional language skills are considered a strong asset.

You are flexible and willing to travel up to 30% annually across Europe, the UK, and India.

You are willing to reside in Germany, France, Spain, or Italy, or to relocate if required.
