Proposal Engineer - AVIONICS & AEROSPACE

Role Description:

The selected candidate will join the Quoting team, supporting the sourcing and costing activities required to prepare commercial offers for new business opportunities within the aerospace and defense sectors.

The role also includes contributing to the definition of procurement price lists in collaboration with the Procurement team, ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards and requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the Engineering Department to analyze technical requests and specifications.
• Manage RFQs by interacting with qualified suppliers operating in avionics, aerospace, and defense markets, collecting detailed information on costs and supply conditions (MOQ, payment terms, lead times, delivery terms, warranty conditions, and compliance requirements).
• Evaluate and optimize supplier offers to meet cost targets while ensuring adherence to sector-specific regulations and quality standards.
• Use the company ERP system to record, track, and analyze quotations.

Required Skills:

Hard Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar roles within aerospace, avionics, or military/defense manufacturing environments.
• Good command of the English language.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with company management systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical technical drawings.
• Solid technical analysis and cost optimization capabilities.

Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with international suppliers.
• Curiosity and proactivity in identifying innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• High level of adaptability and precision, especially when working within regulated and compliance-driven environments.
