Purchasing Planner – Buyer

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is a Fortune 1,000 Company listed on the NYSE (VSH). The role is located at Vishay Semiconductor Italiana SpA in Borgaro Torinese, Italy, where approximately 300 employees work.

Responsibilities

• Manage material planning and procurement activities in line with production requirements and inventory targets.
• Manage supplier relationships, including order execution, delivery performance, and issue resolution.
• Manage purchase orders, confirmations, and follow‑up to ensure continuity of supply.
• Identify supply risks, demand variability, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement or planning.
• Excellent knowledge of material planning processes, procurement principles, and supply chain fundamentals.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Motivation to master new major challenges and a proactive attitude toward issues and requests from senior managers.
