We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team to strengthen our Procurement and Purchasing Department.

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and developing the supplier base while ensuring the effective procurement of raw materials, mechanical components, and external machining services. The role contributes to strategic sourcing activities, supplier performance improvement, cost optimization, and supply continuity, working closely with internal stakeholders to support Tecnord’s production and business objectives.

Reports to: Procurement and Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodity categories.
  • Conduct supplier scouting, qualification, and development activities.
  • Manage the RFQ process, perform quotation analysis, and support supplier selection decisions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and long‑term supply conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs (quality, delivery reliability, cost competitiveness).
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Logistics to ensure alignment between procurement strategies and operational needs.
  • Contribute to supplier risk management and supply chain resilience.
  • Support procurement planning and budgeting activities.
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure proper follow‑up through the ERP system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or equivalent technical/business background.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes (machining, turning, mechanical components).
  • Basic knowledge of sourcing methodologies and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Previous experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing within the manufacturing or metalworking sector.
  • Experience in supplier development or cost reduction initiatives.
