Python Software Developer

ARESYS is an Italian SME providing innovative satellite-based sensing solutions to the Space and Defense markets.

ARESYS offers a 20+ years of expertise in designing and developing on-board and on-ground systems with a vertical specialization in microwave (Radar, SAR and Optical) technologies.

In our Milan and Rome offices we are looking for a Python Software Developer .

The candidate will become a specialist of data processing (acquired both from satellites, drones and ground scanning sensors), working on real‑life data, proposing innovative efficient and smart processing algorithms to be developed in Python.

The candidate will design, develop and maintain efficient data processing solutions, leveraging state‑of‑the‑art development strategies and High Performance Computing techniques.

You will collaborate with top‑tier Software Engineers, Computer Scientists and Radar Specialists, contributing to projects at the forefront of innovation in RADAR and Earth Observation technologies.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Design and code high‑performance scientific libraries and applications for RADAR data processing
• Review, validate and optimize developed code
• Design and support solutions that strengthen the reliability of development and testing operations
• Drive bug resolution through systematic data analysis
• Develop and integrate innovative algorithms and processing techniques together with the R&D team

Required skills:

• Professional experience in Python software development
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
• Knowledge of technical understanding of RADAR and SAR Systems
• Electronical/Telecommunication background

Your background:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, or a STEM discipline or 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
