QA Engineer (Part-Time)

We're hiring a QA Engineer — Freelance / P.IVA | Part-time | Remote

At Holifya, we're reimagining obesity care — diagnostics-driven, powered by board-certified doctors, and delivering a seamless patient journey with access to the most advanced therapies in medical weight-loss. We connect doctors, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists, and partners across Pharma and nutrition to improve adherence and outcomes. Our mission: make a difference in 1 million lives.

We're a small, fast-moving team building a clinical platform from the ground up. We need a QA engineer who can own quality across our patient-facing app, provider portals, and the integrations that connect them.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain regression test suites covering critical user journeys end-to-end
• Write automated tests for frontend (React SPA) and backend (serverless edge functions)
• Test third-party integration flows: payment processing, scheduling/booking embeds, auth providers, webhooks
• Validate async workflows: webhook queue processing, scheduled jobs, state machine transitions
• Test role-based access and permission boundaries across multiple user types
• Exploratory testing on staging before releases
• Collaborate with a small dev team (2–4 engineers) and PM

Must have

• Experience testing payment flows (Stripe or similar) — webhooks, async charges, failure states
• Experience testing third-party embed/widget integrations
• Hands-on with at least one E2E framework (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
• Comfortable writing SQL to verify database state (PostgreSQL)
• Can read React frontend code well enough to understand expected behavior
• Experience testing OAuth and email-based authentication
• Familiar with webhook-driven architectures
• English language fluency

Nice to have

• Experience with Supabase or Firebase
• Background in healthtech / regulated products
• API testing (Postman or scripted)
• Italian language knowledge (app UI is in Italian)
