Position Overview
This position will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests of solid or liquid materials on site in San Martino di Trecate (NO), Italy.
Responsibilities
Inspection and technical and chemical analysis of finished goods to ensure they are within specification.
Inspection and technical and chemical analysis of raw materials to ensure they are within specification.
Report non-compliance of materials (finished goods and raw materials) to management.
Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for testing and analysis following standardized or experimental formulas and procedures.
Calibrate lab equipment and prepare and standardize lab reagents (titrants, indicators, buffers, or standards) according to standardized procedure.
Record all analytical results using the appropriate software.
Keep and archive retained samples for future verification.
Follow good laboratory practices and methods and MPS’ quality practices and procedures.
Check for unsafe conditions during the shift and either correct them or report them to the supervisor.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping as part of normal operations.
Qualifications
High school leaving qualification from a technical school or a technical degree.
Experience and/or training in a laboratory is highly appreciated.
Competencies
Strong team‑building skills and proven ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of the basic Office package.
Appetite for delivering continuous improvement.
Eagerness to learn and embrace change.
Precision and the ability to organize work time.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines.
