Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for the operational and strategic coordination of the laboratories, ensuring an efficient QC flow, effective management of non-conformities, and optimization of analytical processes. The role includes continuous monitoring of laboratory and personnel performance, with a focus on continuous improvement and waste reduction, while promoting operational excellence and quality results.
Based on the results of QC controls, interact with productive departments in order to reduce rejections and solve issues linked to process.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily operations of the laboratories, ensuring compliance with quality standards, deadlines, and applicable regulations.
- Analyze and interpret technical documentation (e.g., lab reports, reference standards) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Foster a dynamic and motivated work environment, encouraging curiosity, initiative, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of staff and contribute to the definition and implementation of training plans.
- Actively promote the company’s core values, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and individual accountability.
- Participate in the development and implementation of digital solutions for material analysis processes and data management, with an interest in innovation and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
- Oversee, with limited responsibility, the release of finished products to the market, especially in cases involving out-of-specification management.
- Approve and release of finished products with non standard inspection plans (not only visual and dimensional inspections) only in case all results are within the expected specifications. Has the authority to reject materials if they are not within the expected specifications.
- Guarantee that all the lab equipment are properly mantained and calibrated and with this aim coordinate the lab activities and the activities of external suppliers;
- Keep contact with the Group (communicating in English) in order to exchange technical information on inspection methods, processes and information systems relative to QC.
Your Profile
- At least 5 years of experience in the role;
- Good knowledge of SAP, Office 365,LIMS labware8 applications, desired the use of PowerBI and power automate Minitab/Statistical software
- Proven experience in laboratory or managerial roles within structured production environments.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, combined with a collaborative mindset and participative leadership style.
- Excellent understanding of technical documentation and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Interest in technological innovation, digitalization, and the application of artificial intelligence to industrial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, secondary studies in chemistry.
- Analytical technical knowledge in particular, bioburden/endotoxin test, IR spectrum interpretation ability and rheometry knowledge is desired.
- Excellent command and fluency in spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively express ideas, expectations, and goals. They are capable of inspiring and motivating their team toward success, fostering a positive and growth-oriented work environment.
- Strong sense of accountability, effectively delegate tasks, and actively encourage the professional development of team members.
