QHSE Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QHSE Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure venture in Livorno, offering the opportunity to contribute to transformative works in marine construction, port development, and environmental management.

Requirements

• Education : MSc in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Safety Engineering; or equivalent through experience

• Certifications :

  • RSPP Sections A, B, B-bis, and C

  • Prevention Advisor Level 1

• Experience :

  • Minimum of 7 years in a QHSE role within infrastructure or marine construction

  • Strong command of VCA, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards

• Technical Skills : Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Languages :

  • Native Italian

  • Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Act as a QHSE advisor to the project workforce; deliver trainings, inductions, and toolbox meetings

• Conduct regular audits and site inspections to verify QHSE compliance and system effectiveness

• Recommend and implement improvements; monitor follow-up actions

• Perform risk assessments and support implementation of safety measures

• Maintain and enhance the existing QHSE management system

• Communicate key QHSE issues and improvement strategies to relevant stakeholders

• Assist in incident investigations, gather documentation, and ensure corrective actions are applied and effective

• Stay informed on Italian labour legislation and health and safety standards
