Trillium Pumps Italy is looking for a Quality Engineer.
Within a Commercial Operations Team, the Quality Engineer is the point of reference for the quality issues along the entire “quote to cash” process, from receiving of a Request for Quote up to the completion of the projects’ final documentation. Working in synergy with teammates and supported by the Commercial Operations Manager, the QE is basically responsible for drawing up project procedures, inspection and test plan and other relevant documents stating from the analysis of the project specs. Moreover QE manages the inspections witnessed by the customers.
Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Support the project manager on bid preparation with focus on the qualitative aspects such as: tests, special materials requirements and procedures that may affect project costs and execution
- Draft the Inspection and Test Plan for bidding, if required, and project execution
- Issue, revision and submission of the project procedures (testing, NDE, production, etc.), customized starting from the company standard, to be consistent with project specifications.
- Creation, and revision up to customer approval, of the index of the Manufacturer Data Book or similar collection of Quality Certificates as required by customer specs.
- Make all the required certificates available in the document system: Material certified analysis, NDT reports, painting certifications, functional / final test, etc.
- Participation in KOM, PIM and any other progress meetings, internal or with customer presence, that may require QE involvement.
- Management of relevant documents comments up to customer approval.
- Support “punch list” closure.
- Direct management of the inspectors during witnessed.
- Issuance of ATEX / CE / PED / CoC certificates.
Qualifications
Mechanical or industrial bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Good knowledge of English. Flexibility, pro-activity attitude and ability to work in team. Good client-facing and internal communication skills. Previous one- or two-years’ experience in a similar role.
Computer Skills:
Good knowledge of PLM systems (preferably PTC Windchill). Basic knowledge of the ERP systems (preferably SAP). Ability to use databases, spreadsheets, word processing and any other basic Microsoft office package tool. The knowledge of any kind of A.I. tool will be a preferential title.
