The role
At Everllence Italy, we are looking for a Quality Inspector - Turbomachinery for our site in Lomagna (LC).
You will be responsible for ensuring that turbomachinery components and assemblies meet stringent quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
Working in close collaboration with production, engineering and supply chain teams, you will help secure high-quality deliveries for demanding international projects.
As part of the supply chain, the Quality department ensures the quality of components, systems and external services for the projects and makes a significant contribution to the success of Everllence's decarbonization strategy.
We can offer you the following tasks
- You are responsible for the Quality of bought-in, project related components in lead by the Supplier Quality Management for the product line Turbomachinery
- Inspection preparation and compilation of relevant documents (e.g. purchase order, drawings, specifications, MPP, ITP, etc.)
- Dimensional Inspections
- Supervision and monitoring of destructive material testing (e.g. tensile test, notched bar impact test, hardness test, etc.)
- Monitoring and execution of the required non-destructive tests in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9712 / ASME and other relevant standards
- Visual inspection (VT)
- Dye penetrant testing (PT) / Magnetic particle testing (MT)
- Ultrasonic testing (UT) / X-ray testing (RT/RFI)
- Coating / Painting tests
- Verification of compliance with various process parameters defined in relevant specifications, standards and test plans
- RCA in the event of deviations and agreement of adequate corrective measures with the supplier
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with design, materials technology, production and quality department, purchasing
- Documentation of inspection results, agreed action lists, recovery plans, etc.
You Can Help Us With These Qualifications
- University degree (BSc/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields such as materials technology, foundry engineering, or metallurgy
- Training in the field of non-destructive testing (valid certificates level 2 or 3 according to DIN EN ISO 9712 in all above mentioned methods required)
- Solid knowledge of quality management and reliable application of suitable quality methods (e.g. Ishikawa, 8D method, FMEA,...)
- Several years of experience in carrying out inspections of main components in the field of casting and forging, as well as welding components incl. sound knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. DIN EN ISO 3834, DIN EN 1559; DIN EN 1563, DIN EN 10213, DIN EN 10204, DIN EN ISO 6892, DIN EN ISO 148; DIN EN 1090; DIN EN ISO 5817; DIN EN ISO 6520; ASME IX; ASME stamps; NACE standards; ...)
- Good knowledge of casting and forging technology, mechanical machining, good metrological knowledge (KMM, GOM, etc.)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP
- Analytical skills, high assertiveness, above-average resilience and strong communication skills
- Fluent in Italian and English (German is an advantage)
- High willingness to travel, up to 75 %, with focus on Northern Italy and Europe. Usually short trips 2- 4 days / week

Where we need you
Your office will be in Lomagna. As a Quality Inspector, you will mainly work at the supplier's production sites. An induction lasting several weeks will take place in Germany, among other places.
