Summary
We are seeking a Quality Manager responsible for developing and implementing a Quality strategy that delivers measurable business value by driving process improvements, enhancing customer satisfaction and improving profitability. The Quality Manager will drive local quality processes across the Italian plants and ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory standards. He/she handles non‑conformities, guides suppliers toward shared quality requirements, collaborates closely with production and logistics, engineering, procurement and sales, field and supplier quality organizations in line with the H&W Business Unit Quality Strategy to ensure process consistency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and maintain processes that ensure products compliance with specifications and regulations
- Participate in design activities
- Establish standards and control methods, define and track quality KPIs at local level
- Coordinate internal and external audits to verify compliance, effectiveness, and traceability
- Develop policies and procedures
- Direct and coordinate overall quality specifications
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce defects and waste, and lower the cost of poor quality
- Ensure synergies and training and development of quality personnel at each site
- Coordinate the analysis of supplier non‑conformities, provide quality reports, drive improvement plans
- Collaborate on the assessment of new suppliers or change of suppliers
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality management in a complex organization
- Experience with audits and certifications
- Proven track record in designing, implementing and maintaining a multi‑site quality organization
- Able to lead process mapping/baselining and improvement activities
- Experience leading cross‑functional improvement teams
- Experience in training Quality methodologies
- Performance reporting and balanced scorecard knowledge and experience essential
- Advanced PC skills required including database design, presentations, spreadsheets, data analysis and graphical presentations
- Proficiency in quality and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, CAPA, etc.)
- Familiarity with ERP systems and digital Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Proficiency knowledge of English language
- Willingness to travel frequently between the 2 Italian manufacturing sites (30‑40%)
