Our Financial Service Client is currently looking for a proactive and skilled individual to enhance collaboration between the Risk and IT departments.
This is a great time to join a company growing in scope, working on a range of products across capital markets and being part of a major milestone within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic framework to enhance collaboration between Risk and IT, including establishing a data layer, supporting production investigations/incidents, performing reconciliations, designing prototypes, and providing functional specifications.
- Assist with risk management processes and daily operations, including risk monitoring and report preparation.
- Create and implement automation strategies for daily processes using AI and modern technologies.
- Design and develop interactive tools (GUIs) for data analytics, data quality, time series analysis, and risk monitoring.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and respond to requests from regulators, clients, and ISV.
- Analyze business processes to identify potential risks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and other risk mitigation measures.
Candidate Profile:
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, CQF or related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- 4-5 years of experience in financial or technology services (e.g., banks, asset managers, fintech, regulators, audit/consultancy firms).
- AI and ML techniques are of high interest with the plans ahead.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including object-oriented design, version control, continuous integration, test-driven development, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks, methodologies, risk metrics (e.g., VaR, ES), and risk systems architectures.
- Ability to manage pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in designing and developing GUIs and interactive tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English.
