Quantity Surveyor/Manager
Descrizione dell'offerta
Our client is one of the most established and globally respected cost consultancies operating in the built environment, with a long-standing reputation for delivering strategic commercial advice on the most complex and high-value programmes worldwide. Their work spans many of the most demanding sectors in construction, with a particular strength in mission-critical and capital-intensive infrastructure.
With offices across multiple continents and a deep bench of technical specialists, the business has positioned itself as a trusted partner to many of the world's largest investors, developers and end users. They are known for combining commercial rigour with sector-specific insight, allowing them to add genuine value at every stage of a project lifecycle.
The consultancy is currently experiencing strong, sustained growth, driven by significant client demand across digital infrastructure and other capital-intensive sectors. As part of this expansion, they are continuing to invest heavily in their European delivery capability and growing the senior teams responsible for their flagship programmes.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS
You will be joining a high-performing senior cost management team supporting a major hyperscale data centre programme across multiple European locations. The programme is large in scale, technically demanding and delivered to extremely tight quality and programme requirements, providing exceptional commercial exposure for an experienced cost professional.
The working environment is collaborative, fast-paced and built around close coordination between cost, commercial, project and engineering teams. You will work directly alongside experienced directors and clients, with the autonomy to lead key commercial workstreams while being supported by a wider international delivery network.
Across the lifecycle of the programme, you will gain exposure to feasibility and benchmarking, procurement strategy, contract negotiation, post-contract cost control, change management and final account close-out. This breadth of involvement provides a uniquely well-rounded experience and a strong platform for stepping into more senior commercial leadership positions.
All travel, accommodation and expenses are fully covered, allowing you to focus on the work without the administrative burden often associated with international assignments.
Lead pre and post-contract cost management activities across a major hyperscale data centre programme
Develop and manage cost plans, estimates, benchmarking exercises and value engineering studies
Support procurement strategy, tender documentation, evaluation and contract award processes
Manage monthly valuations, cost reporting, change control and cash flow forecasting
Provide accurate, timely commercial reporting to clients and senior internal stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams and contractor partners across multiple geographies
Support the development and mentoring of junior cost managers within the wider team
Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or equivalent within a recognised cost consultancy
Strong track record delivering on hyperscale data centre, mission-critical or other large-scale technical programmes
Confident managing both pre and post-contract activities on high-value, complex projects
Solid understanding of standard forms of contract, including FIDIC, NEC and JCT
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or a related discipline (MRICS desirable)
This role offers a base salary of £85,000 alongside a 20% performance-related bonus, with all flights, accommodation and travel expenses fully covered while on rotation. You will join a globally respected consultancy delivering one of the most significant data centre programmes in Europe, gaining exposure to landmark work and senior-level decision making. The structured rotation provides genuine work-life balance, with extended time at home alongside a defined and well-supported route into more senior commercial leadership roles.
