Descrizione dell'offerta
Quantum hardware company building superconducting quantum processors designed for utility-scale systems. They're solving one of the field's core scaling bottlenecks at the architecture level, and they need a measurement engineer to push readout and control performance as the platform grows.
What you'll do:
- Design, implement and optimise qubit readout and control chains
- Build measurement protocols for characterisation: T1, T2, Ramsey, echo, RB, readout fidelity, crosstalk
- Optimise SNR and measurement fidelity under real hardware constraints
- Develop and maintain Python-based experimental control software with FPGA/AWG integration
- Analyse experimental data against theoretical models and simulations
- Work closely with device physicists, fab and systems teams
- Contribute to scalable measurement architectures and automation for large-qubit systems
What you'll need:
- PhD or MSc in Physics, Applied Physics, EE or similar
- 5+ years hands-on with superconducting qubits or closely related quantum hardware
- Microwave engineering in practice: GHz electronics, IQ mixers, amplifiers, VNAs
- Solid grounding in quantum measurement theory and decoherence mechanisms
- Dilution refrigerator experience
- Strong Python for experiment control and data analysis
- Ability to debug complex setups across hardware and software
