R&D CHC Senior Specialist, Project Management

We are looking for an experienced R&D Project Manager to join a dynamic Consumer Healthcare environment, leading complex cross-functional innovation and development projects from concept to delivery.

Purpose of the Job

• Lead cross-functional project teams in the execution of end-to-end projects aligned with business goals.
• Develop and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring activities are completed on schedule and within scope.
• Ensure LEAN and Agile tools and approaches are used across project management.
• Manage or provide operational support in vendor and contract management for the CHC I&D Team.

Principal Accountabilities

• Support the definition of project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop end-to-end project schedules and timelines to assure on-time delivery.
• Apply LEAN and Agile approaches to projects.
• Monitor project activities and track progress against milestones.
• Support the core team in day-to-day project management activities.
• Build the project team and define tasks.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets and tracking expenses.
• Prepare and contribute to project status reports and updates.
• Track changes and support their implementation when necessary to meet deliverables.
• Identify issues and appropriately raise escalations.
• Contribute to risk identification and support the implementation of mitigation plans for all projects.

Qualifications

• 8 years’ experience as an R&D project manager, preferably in Consumer Healthcare (other high-speed industries may be considered).
• Scientific/Technical/Engineering Master’s or PhD degree or equivalent.
• Project Management Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Mastery of Agile and LEAN delivery, including Lean Process Optimization & Value Delivery.
• Advanced planning and execution skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk analysis and mitigation.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, and good command of English.
• Negotiation skills and ability to influence with or without authority at levels above and below own grade.
• Proficiency in building trust with teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in resolving team conflicts through skilled negotiation and diplomacy, escalating to functional leaders as necessary.
