R&D Technical Support Engineer (Tooling)
Job Overview
The R&D Technical Support Engineer (Tooling) for the product families he is responsible, ensures the proper workflow and the on‑time delivery of tools and spare parts while coordinating activities among suppliers, customers, and internal functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects related to the assigned product families, including:
- Tracking customer orders and delivery schedules
- Monitoring project progress and supervising suppliers
- Managing spare parts requests and ensuring timely delivery
- Support and coordinate global suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements
- Act as a technical interface between customers, suppliers, and internal departments
- Ensure accurate documentation and proper use of PLM systems
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master)
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in engineering roles
- Solid knowledge of PLM platforms
- Experience with connector or terminal tooling is considered a strong plus
- Experience on industrial automation is considered a strong plus
- Excellent proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong communication skills (verbal, analytical, and written)
- Proven organizational and project management skills, with experience collaborating across teams, suppliers, and customers
- Ability to work independently on multiple parallel projects, delivering analyses and reports within deadlines
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to make decisions with minimal supervision
- Analytical mindset and strong self‑organization
