The Role

We are seeking an experienced Radio Communications Manager to oversee radio communication systems for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milano-Cortina, Italy. Responsibilities include managing radio fleet, designing communication strategies, implementing radio mapping, and staff training.

Responsibilities

  1. Fleet Management: Oversee inventory, maintenance, and distribution of radios; coordinate with suppliers; conduct checks and troubleshooting.
  2. Radio Communication Strategy: Develop and implement communication strategies; collaborate with event teams.
  3. Radio Fleet Mapping: Design and maintain radio coverage maps; ensure effective signal coverage.
  4. Training and Education: Develop and conduct staff training on radio use and protocols.
  5. Emergency Response Coordination: Establish protocols; coordinate with security and medical teams.
  6. Technical Support: Provide on-site support; stay updated on new technologies.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records; generate post-event reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 10+ years in technology management, project management, or business operations, preferably in ticketing, travel, or hospitality industries.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and managing large-scale event technology infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; Italian proficiency preferred.
  • Experience with large events like Olympics, World Cups, Euros, or Commonwealth Games.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in ticketing, travel, or hospitality industries (preferred but not mandatory).

Working Conditions

  • Fixed-term position based in Milan.
  • Working days: Monday to Friday.
  • Travel within the region.
