Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing system-level requirements and defining technical specifications
  • Translating requirements into board-level architecture and hardware design
  • Producing and managing technical documentation (design descriptions, ICDs, verification plans, test procedures, etc.)
  • Designing RF front-end architectures (MMIC/HMIC-based: HPA, LNA, mixers, oscillators, PLLs, etc.)
  • Supporting schematic capture and PCB layout activities
  • Performing simulations and preliminary validation (EMC, thermal, power derating, etc.)
  • Defining and executing RF test campaigns, including setup and procedure development
  • Characterising high-frequency components and systems (up to 40 GHz), including S-parameters, noise figure, and phase noise

Your Background

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related STEM discipline
  • ~3+ years of experience in RF front-end development (space, aerospace, or similar high-reliability sectors preferred)
  • Strong communication skills in English

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in RF product development, ideally within aerospace, defence, or avionics
  • Strong proficiency with RF design and simulation tools (e.g. ADS, Altium, CST) across 0.1–40 GHz
  • Experience designing RF front-ends, including radar or ultra-wideband receiver systems
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab instrumentation (VNA, spectrum analysers, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of antenna theory and technologies (gain, polarisation, patch antennas, arrays, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment

Desirable Experience

  • Background in space or aerospace projects
  • Experience with EMC qualification processes
