For our Iveco Defence Vehicles and Astra business units, we are looking for a REACH/IMDS Compliance Officer
Role Objective
Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance of supplied components through proactive follow-up and document management with suppliers (MDS/REACH, PAPP), autonomous use of the IMDS portal, validation of compliance declarations, and collaboration with engineering for material analysis. The role also includes internal technical support, regulatory training, and assistance to the inspection department during supplier audits.
Main Responsibilities
- Review and validate documentation provided by suppliers to ensure material and component compliance with REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006).
- Follow up with suppliers to upload the necessary documentation for MDS/REACH sheets to be completed by engineering.
- Collect, analyze, and validate supplier declarations of conformity.
- Collaborate with the Product Engineering department for material analysis and proper classification of substances used.
- Independently consult and use the IMDS portal for data entry and verification.
- Provide internal training and technical support on environmental and regulatory compliance.
- Update monitoring files related to the PAPP process for various vehicle production programs.
- Support the acceptance testing department in technical verification activities at supplier sites.
- Request necessary documentation from suppliers for the PAPP process or any approvals.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree (preferably in Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar).
- Basic experience in compiling and managing IMDS and REACH documentation in the automotive sector.
- Knowledge of REACH and RoHS regulations.
- Operational knowledge of the IMDS platform.
- Good understanding of technical drawings and materials used in mechanical/plastic components.
- Excellent command of Office software (especially Excel) and enterprise management systems.
