Real Estate Project Director

Overview

The ideal candidate combines strong on-site experience with the ability to manage complex projects and coordinate stakeholders at all levels.

The role involves leading projects from design (urban planning, permitting, technical design) through construction and delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from design, permitting, and technical development to construction and handover;
• ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards;
• drive project controls across cost, schedule, risk, and change management;
• oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow;
• coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal teams;
• provide clear, data-driven reporting and strategic insights to stakeholders;
• anticipate risks and deviations, ensuring timely mitigation and decision-making;
• establish strong governance and efficient communication across all project parties.

Requirements

• Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is considered a strong advantage, a background in logistics or complex industrial environments is also highly valued;
• proven experience in project controls, financial management, and delivery strategy;
• proven ability to manage stakeholders and drive performance in complex environments;
• solid understanding of planning, cost control, contracts, and risk management;

Engagement details

Location: Parma

Contract: Freelance

Project-based assignment: initial duration 12 months, extendable to 18–24 months.
