Responsibilities

  • To develop innovative technologies for precision medicine in orthopedic diseases through advanced cell biology techniques, 3D cellular models (spheroids, organoids, tissue cultures), and patient-derived cells (primary cultures, induced pluripotent stem cells).
  • Integrate dynamic chip-based models to reconstruct the vascular–tumor interface and complex tumor microenvironments, enabling the analysis of biological processes under controlled in-vitro conditions.
  • Apply advanced morphological techniques (multiphoton confocal microscopy, live holotomography), molecular biology methods (real-time PCR, Western blotting), and analyses of metabolic pathways related to cellular stress, including the unfolded protein response.
  • Aim to create translational models for pharmacological screening and personalized assays, with a focus on orthopedic diseases of high incidence or severity (neoplasms, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis), while reducing the use of animal models.
