Summary:

The Regional Sales Director is a key management position responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and maximize profitability on a global scale. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of international markets, exceptional business acumen, and proven experience in driving commercial success in diverse cultural and geographical contexts. This role will report to the Vice President of Global Business Development.


Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Planning:

  - Develop and implement comprehensive international commercial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.

  - Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities to capitalize on.

2. Market Expansion:

  - Lead market expansion efforts into new regions and territories, identifying target markets and segments for growth.

  - Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and distributors, to drive market penetration.

3. Sales and Business Development:

  - Direct business development initiatives to secure new partnerships, alliances, and sales channels.

  - Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with clients and partners.

   - Work with Distributors to train them on positioning products, value proposition and competitive advantages. 

    - Gain involvement at end user levels to position product value and understand competitive landscape.

     - Establish Marketing strategies through International, Regional and local tradeshow involvement.

4. Product and Service Innovation:

  - Collaborate with product development teams to identify market needs and opportunities for product/service enhancements.

  - Drive innovation in offerings to meet evolving customer demands and stay ahead of competitors.

  - Collaborate with the Senior Director on International Service Operations to maintain a cohesive strategy in supporting the base business and Partner satisfaction. 

5. Financial Management:

  - Monitor financial performance metrics, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  - Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, finance, operations, and legal teams, to ensure alignment and support for commercial initiatives.

  - Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the international commercial organization.

7. Compliance and Risk Management:

  - Ensure compliance with international regulations, trade policies, and legal requirements.

  - Mitigate commercial risks by implementing robust risk management processes and controls.

8. Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  - Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the effectiveness of commercial initiatives.

  - Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on commercial performance, market trends, and opportunities.


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field

- Proven track record of success in international sales & distribution management, with at least 5 years of proven experience.

- Deep understanding of international markets, including cultural nuances, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a focus on delivering sustainable business growth.

- Analytical mindset with proficiency in financial analysis and performance metrics.

- Ability to travel internationally as required.
