Tri Coastal Design is a creative and fast-paced company operating in the international design and consumer goods industry. Our Milan office is looking for a Regulatory product compliance Specialist to be the point of reference for compliance in the company.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Regulatory product compliance Specialist to ensure that our products and processes meet all applicable European and international regulations. This role requires excellent analytical skills, precision, and the ability to manage documentation and certifications across multiple markets.
The Compliance Specialist will work closely with suppliers, testing laboratories, and internal teams to guarantee product conformity, accurate labeling, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, rigorous, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, always ensuring full compliance and timely certification processes.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the compliance strategy of a dynamic, international, and fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Compliance : Ensure all products comply with EU and international safety, labeling, and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation Management : Prepare, review, and maintain technical files, declarations of conformity, and test reports.
- Supplier Coordination : Collaborate with suppliers to obtain necessary compliance documentation and manage corrective actions when required.
- Testing Oversight : Liaise with accredited laboratories to arrange product testing and ensure accurate reporting.
- Labeling Verification : Review multilingual packaging and labels to confirm adherence to legal requirements.
- Regulatory Updates : Monitor changes in EU and international regulations and proactively inform the business of new obligations.
- Audit Preparation : Support internal and external audits by ensuring all compliance documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A minimum of 4–5 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or quality assurance role.
- Solid knowledge of EU and UK product compliance regulations , with specific expertise in:
- Cosmetic Regulation
- REACH
- Toy Safety Directive
- Food Contact Materials
- Electrical and Electronic Equipment
- Experience with consumer goods, cosmetics, stationery, or home products is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) is required; additional European languages are a plus.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with suppliers, testing labs, and internal departments.
